PreSales Engineer (SE)
Summary
We are seeking experienced, technical presales individuals that support the full life cycle of product evangelism, sales, and implementation project manager and support.
The Field Senior Sales Engineer (SE) is the technical arm of the field sales team and the customer facing side of R&D. Sales Engineers must possess the highest levels of both business and technical acumen, being able to understand the details of InfoNet's technology and product offerings in order to clearly articulate our value proposition to prospective technical customers.
SEs must be able to evangelize InfoNet's technology and offerings to prospective customers, both in educating prospects regarding solution pros/cons, and general architecture advantages/disadvantages.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Working closely to support the Field (Direct & Partner) Sales teams, including educating prospective customers about InfoNet's products. This includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection
- Working closely with R&D and Product Management to be closely involved with future product direction and strategy - providing valuable input from "the field"
- Overseeing the customer proposal process and ensuring that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements
- 2 years experience in IT related Sales or Consulting
- Strong team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Working knowledge of database architecture (good at SQL, optional preferable DB2 or Oracle)
- Strong technical knowledge of MS Windows 2000/2003 Servers, WinXP, ActiveDirectory,MS Exchange (optional preferable Linux or Unix)
- Detailed knowledge across the spectrum of Security technologies (if possible including knowledge of public key cryptography concepts is preferable)
- Working knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
- Excellent business writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to customer sites ~50% of the time as needed
